THE ROD
A 10 ft rod rated 7/8 AFTM - especialy for larger rivers.
To be able to roll-cast a floating line when there is high bank or trees behind.
To be able to cast Waddington or 2 flys in one time.
Practic is to have fighting butt and safe rod before rocks & ect in darknes.
Feel is vital (night) - try havyer lines..
Live time guarantees

THE REEL
Large arbor - to pick up line quickly.
100 yards of backing.
Good drag system - soft mouths of sea-trout
Spare spools - don't needed if you use polyleaders, but casts with polyleader tend to be more splashy, and scare this wary fish...

THE LINE
Floating line with sinking tip is easy to cast (night) similay as a intermediate - most use for go deeper (night) fishing - lines.
Line that is rated slightly heavier than rod is better feel in the dark and work better for shorter casts.
Good if line is colour-coded to load rod properly.

LEADER
8 - 15lb, monofilament (soft mouths)

LIGHT
Headtorches with red filter - is less to spotted fish.

WADING STAFF
Heavily better for good balance (night).
